Earth Day
Just a reminder that April 22 is Earth Day.
It is only January, but it's a great time to begin making Earth Day plans. Prepare now to do something to celebrate Earth Day. Some ideas:
• take the One-Tonne Challenge
• decide to take the bus or walk more
• buy a hybrid car next time (an improvement!)
• read your news online
• recycle always and make others do the same
• use a non-electric push lawn mower
• turn down the temperature by one degree C in your home
• compost your food scraps!
• turn off lights when not in use
• inflate your tires properly
These are only a few ideas. There is lots more you can do. Simple decisions and lifestyle changes can make a big difference.
Let us know what you plan to do!

I think I'm doing well with this list - I recycle and compost, I read my news online, I take public transit and walk a lot, I keep my house at a reasonable temperature and turn off lights when I'm not in the room. My next lawn mower will be a push-mower and my next car will hopefully be a hybrid.
And it's funny, after doing these things for years, I don't even need to take the One Tonne Challenge. But I'll give it a try, nonetheless!
