We have probably talked about backyard composting and composters a few dozen times on Greenthinkers. We are talking about them again just a simple reminder to everyone to compost their kitchen scraps!

In my backyard I have one of the Envirocycle models.

I live in the ‘burbs where there isn’t a green bin program like they have in Toronto so the Envirocycle is an excellent a better option!

A backyard composter allows you to compost at source. (Don’t get me wrong, the green bin program is excellent — especially for apartment dwellers.)

I know fellow Greenthinker Nathan uses the green bin in the city. Perhaps he has some interesting green bin tales…
