Ecoholic: Water-Saving Tips That Really Work?
One quick post before vacation kicks in and Greenthinker Scott is left to mind the office for the rest of the summer...
The question is, I use so much water to keep my plants alive in this heat...any way I can cut back without killing things?
And the answer is in this week's Ecoholic from Now Magazine.
Have a wonderfully green summer!

Thanks for the Ecoholic link. On the water saving tip, I was recently suprised to find that most of our water consumption as individuals is a result of eating meat. If you give up meat we save something like 350 gallons of water a day. Pretty unbelievable.

Livestock production uses more than 51 percent of all America's useable water resources. On a smaller scale...The amount of water on the earth represents ten gallons. 1 tsp of that is drinkable. More than half of that is used for producing the crops for livestock, livestock drinking water, and livestock by product clean up.
