Green Cabs
I saw a report on CNN about how New York City is in the process of adding replacing 15,000 12,760 gas powered taxi cabs with hybrid models. This is great news! The cabs cost more than regular gas versions, but they think the money will be made back in gas savings.

I wanted to ask whether the cabs are currently running on gasoline or on CNG??
And Hybrid means (Electric+Gasoline) or (Electric+
CNG)?

OK!! Made a rudimentry error in reading. Got it, gas vehicles replaced by the hybrid variants.
Still the second part of my question stands.
