Composting Toilet Solves Pool Cabana Bahthroom Problem

Since we had an exisiting garage sink (a Home Depot plastic sink that was never used), it was easy to add a vanity sink with mirror to this room. What was not so easy, was adding a 4’ PVC line for a traditional ‘flush’ toilet. Due the distance to my cleanout (sewer), it would have cost between $2,000 - $4,000 just to run an underground sewer line. Since I was not going to pay this to run a sewer line, we opted for the composting toilet. My wife had serious reservations about us putting an ‘outhouse’ in our bathroom. However, I convinced her to try it. The toliet is a self-contained waterless toilet with a vent that vents the air through a pipe up to the garage roof. The waste breaks down as compost and doesn’t smell! We got an Envirolet.
