More Bicycles Than Cars Sold in U.S.

According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce more bikes than cars have been sold in the U.S. over the last 12 months.

19 million bicycles were sold last year, close to the all-time high of 20
million that were sold during the oil embargo of the early 1970s.

Just like in the 70s, most agree that the sharp increase in sales is due to
ever-rising gas prices. The average price of gas in the U.S. Has increased
47.3% in the last year.
