Wish Magazine Looks at Water-Saving Toilets

Wish Canada’s Wish magazine has a small piece on water-saving toilets in the new April 2006 edition (which is not the cover shown on the left).

It’s in the Home Files section of the magazine (pg. 86) under the sub-category Toilets.

They list “5 of the Best” water-saving toilets including ones from American Standard, Kohler (the cool Hatbox), Toto and my favourite of the bunch, of course, my own Envirolet brand.

They mention how Envirolet composting toilet systems uses no chemicals and does not require a septic tank. My only complaint is that they did not include a photo of one of our waterless models. But, they do have a nice photo of one of our low flush toilets.

The article points out that 28% of all water used in the home is flushed down the toilet. Not a good use of fresh water. Of course, I am glad anytime I even see this issue addressed in the media.

Of note, they also discuss “eco paint tips” on page 137.
