Yahoo! has also Earth Day’d up their logo today. It links to their Earth Day page, mentioned on Greenthinkers a few times.

The Yahoo! Earth Day celebration is also very consumer-oriented, like I commented about the AOL version.

One thing that appears to be AWOL from any of these “celebrations” is composting! Of course, I would love to see Envirolet up there, but even a mention of backyard composting would have been nice. Composting is one of the easiest ways to make a difference in reducing waste being sent to the landfill.

Side note: I hope that with regards to compsoting toilets that their absense has nothing to do with the fact that they are toilets. Yes, some get squeamish over the topic. Even though it is something we use multiple times a day. A few years ago, we (Envirolet) had ads pulled from Earthlink because they thought the photo of a toilet in a banner ad was “offensive.” (Meanwhile, there were some other dubious 18+ topics and products being advertised on the same site…hmmmmm.)
