Ooba was created when designers and first-time parents Scott Wilson, Kathleen Brandenburg and Dan Kraemer realized the need for baby furniture that complemented their home and lifestyle. Understanding that modern design’s simple and minimalist characteristics are inherently child-like, they tried to envision a new way of living with children.

For example, the Nest Bassinet was born from the desire to have a bedside sleeping option for babies. This room-sharing solution brings peace of mind to parents, so they can rest soundly knowing their baby is safe and comfortable next to them. Both modern and minimalist, it is made from bent plywood, a sustainable method of construction that uses less lumber than regular wood furniture. It features a chrome base and comes with 100% cotton linens (which one day we hope will be orgnic cotton).
