Greenthinkers

The Archives

An informal forum for ideas and thoughts on how to live a more green life.

Are you reading green?

I am a HUGE book nerd. I did a search online this morning for environmental and green books- just to see what all is out there. Following are 10 of the many I found that looked interesting to me. If you’ve read one on my list or you have one to recommend, please leave it in the comments section. Also found a publisher called Island Press that is a non-profit publisher of books about the environment and environmental problems. Check them out here.

My book list:

Inconvenient Truth - Al Gore

Greenpeace: How a Group of Ecologists, Journalists and Visionaries changed the World - Rex Weyler

Green Living: The E Magazine Handbook for Living Lightly on the Earth

It’s Easy Being Green: Handbook for Earth-Friendly Living - Crissy Trask

Radical Simplicity: Small Footprints on a Finite Earth- Jim Merkel

Green Clean: The Environmentally Sound Guide to Cleaning your Home - - Linda Mason Hunter, Mikki Halpin

Real Goods Solar Living Sourcebook 12th Ed.: The Complete Guide to Renewable Energy Techologies & Sustainable Living - John Schaeffer, editor

Sustainable Planet: Solutions for the 21st Century - Juliet Schor, editor

Superbia! 31 Ways to Create Sustainable Neighborhoods - Dan Chiras, Dave Wann

Harvest for Hope: Guide to Mindful Eating - Jane Goodall

I think all of these books look very good and i’m adding them to my TBR (to be read) list. Any others I should make sure I add?
