Back To School Week: Puma PVC-Free Sneakers

Late for school? Then strap on Puma’s Kart Cat II PVC-free sneakers and step it up.
These kicks (are the kids still calling them ‘kicks’?) are part of Puma’s Social Accountability and Fundamental Environmental Standards (S.A.F.E) Concept. which has the goal of implementing ethical and environmental values into their business strategies.
In 2003 PUMA issued its first Sustainability Report. which lists environmental initiatives that the company is undertaking to assess the environmental impact of its products and production process. It looks towards restrictions on heavy metals, azo-dyes, disperse dyes, chlorophenols, formaldehydes and organotin compounds. And as the shoes mentioned above can atest, they are also striving to phase out PVC from their entire product line.
