One of the cooler things we saw in our first morning at Canada Blooms was the City of Toronto’s ‘City Within A Park’ display, featuring a prototype Electric Sunflower. The Electric Sunflower combines solar panels and a wind turbine with a battery storage system. And while it’s too large for the backyard, the city hopes a similar system can be used provide power to city parks and corporate landscapes.
