Update: Gore Granted OK To Install Solar Panels
According to the AP/MSNBC, Al Gore was granted permission to place solar panels on his Tennessee home. His initial request to install the panels was denied, due to zoning restrictions that “only allows power generating equipment to be placed on the ground level.”
The new rules that allow Vice President Gore the permission to install his solar array were unanimously passed on tuesday.
The city of Belle Meade had blocked his application until new rules were approved unanimously late Tuesday, said Gore spokesman Chris Song. The city, located within metropolitan Nashville, said the panels must be placed in areas where they can’t be seen by neighbors.
(Emphasis mine.)
Of course we wouldn’t want the neighbors to have to see Gore’s carbon cutting ways.
I am happy to see that he will be able to go through with the project and put at least a few of his critics to rest.
