Durat Soikko Bathtub

Check out this Durat Soikko Bathtub. It’s made from 100% recyclable Durat, which is a solid surface material containing recycled plastics. The surface is easy to keep clean, resistant to various chemicals and can always be renewed by a light sanding if needed.

This bathtub was presented for the first time at the 100 % Design fair in London in 2002. A shallower model called Mini Soikko has also been released since then.

More on Durat, which we are quite impressed with, sheets of it can be used to create seamless surfaces tens of meters in length. And as for the seams, they can be sanded down to make them almost invisible. The material is processed with woodworking tools. Very neat.
