Organic Beer Goes Mainstream (Part 2)

So why haven’t we seen this Bud Organic or Busch Green? Well, because both are being brewed under new names, by a newly named Anheuser-Busch subsidiary, Green Valley Brewing.

First, Green Valley is bringing us Wild Hop Lager. Made from 100% USDA-cerified organic barley malt, Wild Hop even has 100% recycled packaging. Look for it at your (US) Whole Foods soon.

Secondly, Stone Mill’s Organic Pale Ale. Stone Mill is a pale ale also made with 100% USDA-cerified organic barley malt. From all accounts (we have yet to see it appear at our local purveyor but are waiting patiently) it is pretty light and tasty, while also packing a green punch (check out their website for more info on their enviro commitments).

Let the organic beer wars commence.
