Top 5 Green Pest Solutions: Powdery Mildew
Much like yesterday’s look at treating chlorosis with non-toxic means, we guess mildew isn’t technically a “pest” but we’re going with it anyway.
Powdery mildew is a fungal disease that affects a wide range of plants and is one of the easier diseases to spot, as its symptoms are quite distinctive - white powder-like spots on the leaves and stems.
This white powdery muck can be conquered by removing crowded plants, or by applying an organic fungicide that is applied directly to the plant, or by using a milk spray of 1 part milk to 10 parts water. Done!
