In the past we have mentioned such products as Kill-A Watt, where you can plug your appliances into the device and assess how efficient they are via a display that displays consumption by the Kilowatt-hour just like utility companies.

But now comes the Energy Joule, where you can be notified of when energy prices are increasing in order to manage your use. Pretty cool. But currently only available in New York.
