Greentea Design

Greentea Design was born of the need for contemporary Asian designs. After years of searching for such pieces, this Toronto-based firm began collaborating with a select group of talented artisans to create stylish furniture that fulfills Western practicalities. 10 years ago they built our first step chest from reclaimed wood and since then has greatly expanded its offerings.

All its furniture is constructed using salvaged hard woods such as Elm and Gingko. Large beams are reclaimed from older structures like country homes, barns and warehouses in Korea ensuring that no trees are felled and that the wood is already seasoned. Their experienced buyers also hand-pick antiques from Japan, Korea and China, which can then be retrofitted by their in-house carpenter, making it uniquely positioned to control the process from beginning to end.

We came across them while looking for a new tv stand. Check out this Asian-pine antique table that can be used as a flatscreen tv stand.
