No, we’re not going to go all Tokyo Auto Sow on you this week (18 posts and all) but this we had to mention - it’s the LA Auto Show Hybrid SUV Bonanza! That’s right, it’s LA Auto Show time and what better place that sunny California to unveil a bunch of huge hybrids.

The highlights so far include the Dodge Durango hybrid with its 5.7-liter Hemi V8, two electric motors, and the Cadillac Escalade hybrid that sports a 6.0-liter V8 and a 300-volt electrical charge.

And on top of all that is the surprise of the day - the winner of this year’s Green Car of the Year is the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid, so named for its outstanding gas mileage compared to its competitors.
