Tokyo Auto Show: Suzuki SSC + PIXY

Let us give you some advanced warning on this post - it might get a bit confusing. But here we are, staring at this thing, not sure exactly what to make of it. And that’s the beauty of the Tokyo Auto Show sometimes.
The electric Suzuki SSC + PIXY is yet another Japanese futuristic idea of personal transport. And that plus sign in between SSC and PIXY is significant because it takes the two parts, the PIXY and the SSC, to create the car as a whole. Huh?
The PIXY is a Segway-like one-person, low-speed, pod-style scooter. The SSC, which is short for Suzuki Sharing Coach, is a “minicar-based mobility unit.” Two PIXYs can directly attach to the mobile base SSC, where their batteries can be charged from the fuel cell powered vehicle.
That Suzuki is planning a sport and boat version as well just adds to the fun.
