Earth Hour Recap

Earth Hour has passed. So how was it?
In Toronto, energy reduction targets were met, as tens of thousands of residents and businesses combined fun with a clear statement of concern about climate change.
In the Philippines, the fact that so many people were taking part showed how much interest and concern at the climate crisis had taken hold.
In Sydney, organizers were hoping to top the estimated 2.2 million people who observed the blackout last year. In Chicago, the lights illuminating the Sears Tower’s famous antennas flicked off. And even the famous Wrigley Field marquee went dark.
And in Dubai, electricity consumption dropped by 100,000 kWh in Dubai during the city’s first Earth Hour.
For more… we still are thinking, did it make a difference? And where do we go from here?
