Certified organic food is grown without the use of synthetic fertilisers and pesticides, plant and animal growth hormones, antibiotics and genetically modified organisms. This can significantly contribute to increasing the health of our air,soil and water not to mention that of the plants and animals we eat!
And that’s where the Growing Up Organic campaign comes in, run by Canadian Organic Growers (COG), a national charitable organization that has been promoting organic growing for over 30 years.
In 2007, COG launched the Growing Up Organic (GUO) project. The purpose of the GUO project is to build upon exisitng efforts to shift Canada towards increased organic production by exploring ways to increase the amount of organically grown food served in Canadian institutions, beginning with childcare centres.

Comments are sorta kinda broken right now. We're working on it but to save energy can only work in daytime when solar system is at peak performance.
