Red Dot Campaign

If you’d like to take a proactive approach to your (Canadian) junk mail problem, you can rid yourself of junk mail right now. The Red Dot Campaign is a privately funded social marketing venture. Go to their website and get off the junk-mail bandwagon in two minutes or less.
Here’s the process:
Order their Red Dot ‘No Junk Mail’ sticker and affix it to your mail box or slot.
If the sticker is ignored, download, sign and date the letter provided on their site and mail it to your nearest Canada Post outlet.
Sign up with the Canadian Marketing Association’s Do Not Contact Registry. This enables you to reduce the number of marketing offers received by mail, telephone and fax.
Stay tuned for the official Canadian Do Not Call Registry.
An interesting fact: weekly newspapers distribute up to 50% of junk mail. Maybe we should involve them in the discussion.
