It's That Green Cuisine

contessagreencuisinesesamechicken_photosn.jpg

Following up on our post on Contessa’s green factory initiatives, their Green Cuisine convenience meals are now available at major supermarkets across the U.S.A. (product locator available on their website). These Green Cuisine Meals include restaurant-favorite dishes such as Beef Stir-Fry, Chicken Chow Mein and Kung Pao Shrimp, amongst many others. At a suggested retail price of $8.99 (about two-gallons of gas, for those of us keeping track).

Easily identifiable by the new Green Cuisine logo on the packaging, Green Cuisine meals are made in the world’s first LEED-certified energy-efficient frozen food plant which has already cut carbon emissions by 50%. More information on Contessa’s initiatives can be found on their website.
