The Organic Dirty Dozen Gets Another Redux

Two of Greenthinkers’ most popular posts of all time have been on the infamous Dirty Dozen. Here. And here. Well, Greenopolis has taken that topic and added some breadth to the discussion.

Increase your savings by checking out their food rankings from highest to lowest pesticide concentrations, and how to properly store your organic produce to minimize spoilage. For example, bananas are a bad organic buy, since the pesticide resides in the skin and we don’t eat the skin. On the other hand organic meat is free from antibiotics, added hormones, and human growth hormones which from a health standpoint is a terrific buy.
