Kicky Pants' Organic Kids Clothing

Created by designer Erin Cloke, Kicky Pants was developed while she was on bedrest while pregnant with her second child. And alongside her environmentalist husband Nick, they have created an entire line of clothing that includes coveralls, dresses, onesies, PJs, and tees. It’s Kicky Pants, and it’s fantastic.
The reason Kicky Pants clothing is considered eco-friendly (and is being touted by Greenthinkers and many others) is because it’s made from bamboo, as opposed to the traditional fabric that is often utilized to create clothes; cotton.
In comparison to cotton, bamboo is a superior fabric for summertime clothing. Statistics have proven that bamboo absorbs water approximately three to four times greater than cotton and as a result, it increases how comfortable you feel while wearing the clothes. Bamboo also has a remarkable ability to adjust to temperature conditions. The environmentally beneficial material possesses the capability of remaining two to three degrees cooler in warm weather and two to three degrees warmer in cold weather situations.

We were lucky enough to get a sample of the Bamboo Long Sleeve Pajama Top from our PR secret agent and quickly shuttled it off to our resident kid clothing tester, codenamed Greenthinker Jr. His thoughts below.
This wonderful shirt keeps me very comfy and dry, and looking super-cute!
Made of 95% Bamboo and 5% Lycra, our Bamboo Basics are incredibly soft and luxurious feeling. It is the softest thing I own.
I also just learned that bamboo is naturally antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-static. Bamboo wicks water away from the body 3-4 times better than cotton, keeping skin comfortable, rather than sticky, in summer weather. And in the fall, I can wear it under my favourite t-shirts, for that cool layered look the kids are going for these days.
Dump truck. Train! Train!
There you have it folks. Kicky Pants reigns supreme.
