Everyone knows Greenthinkers loves countdowns and lists. And everyone knows Greenthinkers is on the cutting edge when it comes to skin care, right?. Well, one of those might be true, at least. First up, horsetail. The name horsetail, often used for the entire group, arose because the branched species somewhat resemble a horse’s tail. And the fatty acids in horsetail (equisetum) soften skin and rich mineral content reduces redness during breakouts, meaning it is often used as a skin firmer too as it is high in tannins, and thus constricts blood vessels and skin tissue.
One hot horsetail-laden product out there right now is Care By Stella McCartney’s Purifying Foaming Cleanser which is great for removing make-up and much more.
