BPA Free is a new running Greenthinkers feature where we discuss BPA, link to BPA-related pieces in the news, and also discuss and review all the BPA-free products you can handle. Enjoy your new BPA-free life.

Vancouver-based Bilt produces Stainless-Steel BPA-Free Water and Vacuum Bottles that are designed to be part of the active and healthy lives of people who set their own boundaries and make their own choices. Plus, Bilt is dedicated to sustainable and transparent business practices. They strongly believe in letting you know where and how their products are made, so you can make responsible choices.

And speaking of choices, we recently chose Bilt’s Commercial Drive Vacuum Bottle. This bottle features sleek, clean styling that is perfect for around town or short outings. The double-walled vacuum design keeps your drink warm or cold for up to six hours. And the lid has a one-way air valve that ensures easy opening by preventing a vacuum seal from forming inside the cup. It even comes with a unique two part lid that gives a “shot glass” for a restorative hot drink without burning lips.

Our tester’s review after the jump.

Official Greenthinkers Review of the Bilt Commercial Drive Vacuum Bottles

This is a nicely designed bottle. It looks cool, almost original iPod-ish in its modern styling.

Things we like about it include…

  • Double wall vacuum construction made with durable, premium 18/8 stainless steel.

  • Keeps liquids warm up to six hours; preheat with hot water for best thermal retention.

  • Unique two part lid with sipping cup.

In the end, it’s a hit because of the look, its compact and usable size (easy to stow in a purse or messenger bag). It’s a hit! Thanks Bilt!
