Volkswagen Jetta TDI Is '09 Green Car Of The Year
The 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI was named Green Car of the Year today, a first for a diesel-powered vehicle. The sporty 41-mpg TDI beast won over the Ford Fusion hybrid, the Saturn Vue Two-Mode Hybrid, the BMW 335d diesel and the Smart ForTwo.
Or as the LA Times put it, it beat out “two hybrids, another diesel and a car that looks like a golf cart.”

Comments are sorta kinda broken right now. We're working on it but to save energy can only work in daytime when solar system is at peak performance.
