Vivo Barefoot's Eco-Aware Shoes

vivabarefoot_photos.jpg

Galahad Clark is a 7th generation shoe artisan and CEO of Terra Plana and Vivo Barefoot footwear. Terra Plana is the embodiment of fashion forward eco-conscious footwear; the Vivo Barefoot footwear collection is shoe design based on the premise that being barefoot is better for your body and is engineered to meet International Federation of Podiatrists standards. No Saturday Night Live jokes here, people.

Vivo Barefoot strengthens the muscles in your feet, realigns your posture and stimulates sensory perception and give you all the protection of normal shoes and health benefits of going barefoot.

Plus, through using nearly all stitched constructions - they minimise the amount of glue used in their shoes. They are also working with their factories to start using water based adhesives where glues are necessary. Further, they try to use as many different recycled materials as possible - from soling materials to old coats and parachutes.
